NE Regional, Bents Park - 23 & 24 May 09
 

Awesome grass track meeting at Bents Park, South Shields - hosted by the Jarrow Club. A large track layout with lots of fast flowing sections and well designed features made for a superbly raceable track

The 2WD event was dominated by James Chappell (AE B4), taking TQ and a convincing win in the ‘A-Main’.

For 4wd the track direction was reversed, and some corners revised slightly where the surface had cut up the previous day. The jumps were re-designed during practice (as they were proving a little too tricky for some), this proved to be a good move as they ran perfectly through the heats.

Ben Riley took TQ, he was clearly quickest on any single lap, but in the final errors took away the advantage, handing the win to James (Xtreme X11-08) who had qualified in second.

Damian Whittle running the 501X battled his way through the field from 6th to finish second.
