Staggered
I have a pair of sch stagger ribs (2wd). I intend on gluing them to a pair of rulux wheels, already mounted them, but they dont appear to fit correctly. they just aint sitting right on the rim. should they be on a narrow wheel?
Cut a tiny bit of the beading off on the tire, thus allowing the tire to sit the the rim right.
You don't mount them to the inner rib, just ribs 1 and 3 out of the 4 if that makes sense.
The beading curls outwards which is unique to these tyres, so cutting the beading like Sly mentions doesn't seem right to me.
What I do, is mount them on narrow rims, so the inner edge of the tyre is fine pushed up against the 3rd wheel rib. The outer edge of the tyre still has to fit in the wheel rim, so what I do is cut the outer rib of the wheel off completely. This makes them a whole lot easier to mount and to glue too. |

No, you dont have to cut the rib off the wheel if you don't want. You just leave the last rib of plastic on the inside of the wheel.
So you run part wheel showing?.. seems a bit odd...:(
anyone got pics... im a bit simple you see...lol |
The inside showing.
You don't HAVE to cut it off, but it looks crap if you don't. A pair of lexan scissors sees it off in about 10 seconds.
just cut them- i ran staggs at tally in narrow jc wheels

From what I have been told, I've mounted them like this.
Still haven't glued them nor cut off the rim as I wasn't sure wether they are in the correct position  Hope this helps us both. |
Thats is exactly how i think people have described to mount them.. can someoone confirm this please? Cheers
Confirmed, now cut that inner bit off! ;)
Many thanks for the confirmation. :)
