Must Do Upgrades to a B4?

What upgrades are a must on the B4?

Already done the alloy front brace and got Losi shocks coming.

Stealth team

- Losi ball cups, the standard ones are useless.
- Losi slipper, I found this to give a slightly more constant feeling, but absolutely not necessary
- Losi shocks, handy and good
- Ghea front and rear brace
- Dremel (the fitting of the parts is really bad nowadays)
- Atomic Carbon S2 conversion kit

looking at your car mike you should get titanium turnbuckle kit as the kit black steel ones tend to bend or snap quite easy,

ball cups are personal choice I never had a problem with the standard black associated ones on my B4 but had big problems with them on my 4wd always popping off so I usualy stick to these brands for ballcups now: rpm, jconcepts & losi

other than that any other parts you see on b4's are just luxurys that arn't needed at all

Ordered up some new turnbuckles and will prob wait until I bend them, but at least I'll have spares :)

I wouldnt say there is much you need to upgrade- b4 wotks well out of the box, make sure you have done the rear wishbone mod to get super short wheel base

also at taly the team drivers drilled a 4th hole on the rear shock tower

if you are runnig lipo you will need to add weight to the car- Raymart and Trishbits do front and rear bulkheads

The kit ball ends are fine -

Kit Turnbuckles are fine as well, i ran mine for a few meetings befor geting lunford ones - but AE do the FT blue if thats your thing

motor plate- if its the stealth kit, you might want to look at the ft one- keeps things cooler- but the kit one will do its job fine

slipper on the b4 is good- its an x factory thing to run a losi one

What's wrong with the standard ball cups on the B4
Losi shocks arent really a must do upgrade?
Can you still buy an S2 conversion kit?

millzy 19-05-2009 10:19 AM

im with ben sorry

losi shocks are not a must upgrade

a 7inch wings is more of an upgrade than changing the shocks

mikeyscott 19-05-2009 10:49 AM

7in wing?

millzy 19-05-2009 10:52 AM

Yeah the big ones you see Lee Martin and Neil run

Ah right yes I know now. It had a fairly knackered wing when I got it so replaced it for a new standard B4 wing

millzy 19-05-2009 11:01 AM

I run the kit wing- but most if not all team boys run the bigger wing it adds stability

mikeyscott 19-05-2009 11:17 AM

Is it a proline wing the 7"?

millzy 19-05-2009 12:19 PM

pro line do a wing kit witha 5 6 and 7 - also comes with the front wing

yokomo do a wing kit - has a flat v and curved 7 in the pack

Jc do the wings on in singles
