haha, nice:D

I would hope it's just a mod that allows Lipo's, which subsequently means you can also fit 7 "normal" cells as a bonus???

I suppose these cars weren't ever really designed for serious competition so any longer duration you can give the general public would have been a good plan?

Chris Doughty 16-02-2007 02:16 PM

wow, thats a big investment (tooling costs) in what is proberbly a no-go product for racing!? :p

and we all thought that the cat3000 was a limo! :p

Nick Goodall 16-02-2007 03:21 PM

lol Chris, the Cat 3k certainly had the same cornering ability.........

mark christopher 16-02-2007 03:24 PM

odd my lipo are same size as a six cell pack?

Elliott Hopkins 16-02-2007 05:00 PM

No matter how many times they post the pics in however many different places. I still won't want to buy one.

They should have done some market research.

OK it's not just me in the market, but I can't see this selling.

Elliott.

If I remember rightly, 7 cells gives less duration but more power, and the stock transmission can't cope with it as it is.

Hi Guys,
This optional chassis is mainly for bashing, not really for serious competition since the car itself is not. Most people buy this kit for fun and this is just a inexpensive option for them to have a little extra power while not spending too much.

Thanks

Thanks for the info mate, I think its a little unfair to judge this from a racing point of view since like you say this car is a great basher.
In fact - thats just where I'm going now with mine, see if I can get some nice photos! :eh?:

How much longer is this chassis ? I noticed when racing the car for the first time yesterday how much shorter it is than something like the 501X - about 10mm or so. This might of been the reason it was a bit of hard work to drive (that and the mamba max, hehe)
in other words, it could do with some more length.

poor vicky.... lol, be interested to see the chassis not attatched... And if you are a moulding firm, could you not look at a way of re-mounting the rear gearbox so we can use suspension blocks for the rear wishbones and not the gearbox?

MonoTuning 21-02-2007 10:14 AM

Its around 23mm longer than stock which is the diameter of one cell.

Thanks

DCM 21-02-2007 11:55 AM

Monotuning, how hard would it be, to reconfigure the rear end, to raise the gearbox a little to allow proper suspension mounting??
