Chewed posi screw

Wasnt sure where to post this so if its in the wrong place appologies in advance..

Was just finishing off changing all my screws to hex heads on my blaze earlier when the very last one on the motor mount chewed when i tried to remove it. I cant seem to get it to budge and its now so bad the posi driver wont even fit in anymore...so how do i get it out without butchering the damn thing!

if you have a dremmel cut a slot across the screw if you can and then use a normal flat head screw driver to get it out

I might struggle with the dremel as the screw is countersunk. Ive chemical metal'd a bolt to it and will try getting it out like that should it make a good enough bond.

Cheers for the replies:thumbsup:

Warm yer soldering iron up 'n hold on the screw head for a "bit"... then try again, it usually works for me...

Chemical metal failed miserably lol

Tried the soldering iron on the screw with no luck but tried it on the alloy motor mount in the hope it would expand just enough to make the screw that little bit easier to get out, which did the trick :D
