i've been using a borrowed xcellerin speedo for a couple of weeks and dont rate it all, it works when it feels like it, and the brakes dissapear for a few laps then come back (no firmware update) there's a few who's had problems with them at the club and sent them back, when i replace it i'm gonna get one of the cheap orion ones for around £50 new, which should be ok for 2wd

orion 70amp version £49.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Orion-Vortex-1-10-BL-ESC-70A-6-5T_W0QQitemZ250422267034QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Toys Games_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item250422267034&_tr ksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688|66%3A2|65%3A 12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

orion 100 amp version £69.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Orion-Vortex-1-10-BL-ESC100A_W0QQitemZ370199124697QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK _ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN?hash=item37019912469 7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1688|66%3A2| 65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

I have had problems myself, I have blown 1 and problems with the firmware on 3 of them. But spoke to Dave at horizon hobby and they said that they had sovled the problem, and touch wood it has work since.
And I run it in my 2wd, 4wd and my other halfs 4wd. But the choice is yours

I have had no issues with either of mine at all and have been very impressed with them, I would recommend updating to the latest version of firmware

MHeadling 14-05-2009 07:46 AM

Well the have all gone wrong! 1 didn't set up, the other 2 kept
Cogging like mad and went back to Horizon, my 2 nosrams have never gone wrong in 2 years.

You pay your money you take your choice!
