Supercup track laying

All,

I'm off the internet and emails at home for a while, as such I can't get to my email about laying the track this weekend.

I believe it is 2.30pm - 4.30pm for track prep, can someone confirm? All help much appreciated, I recall the regional last year where there 3 of us laying the track at one point :(

Lastly ONLY PEOPLE HELPING LAY THE TRACK ARE ALLOWED TO PUT THEIR TABLES UP THE NIGHT BEFORE, I'm bloody sick of people (including members) turning up to 'help' but actually just standing round talking and doing sod all!

I won't be coming to help, a bit too far, but can I request a track not an obstacle course please? ;)

'Club members (and other willing volunteers), track building is on the Saturday between 14:30 and 16:30. The sports centre is not in use after 16:30, so those ACTIVELY helping set out the track, will be able to set their pit tables on the Saturday.'

I think it is safe to say that pit tables can be set up AFTER the track is complete, rather than some members setting the track up whilst others set up their pitting area.

Slippy floor not at end of straight we ask, in slow technical sections of track it should be, test skill there without risk of large breakages it will.
Snakey staggered mat section - legend of Batley this is.

good point that man. If we must have a slippy section at the end of the straight can we please have some foam or similar placed along the wall like they do in York. Saves crap drivers (like me) much cash!

jimmy 14-02-2007 07:38 PM

I think york is worse apart from the foam - they usually have a thin carpet section which once you are off - or get shunted off, you slide on the slippy into the wall.. at least if its all slippy then you are ready for it / going slower ! :)

Oh, so I'm not the only one to notice that then:rolleyes:
Also, help at the end to pack away will be required, people are usually not too bad at emptying the hall, unfortunately everyone seems to go home and leave everything outside on the grass, rather than actually back in the container;)

Depends who turns up, if its just me, then its all slippy floor, no carpet, ultra technical with loads of obstacles.
Lets hope I'm not left alone to do it then eh?............:D

Please, please, please no slippy floor at the end of the strait ok begining or the middle even but please not the end, York was a great track with slippy floor, I think the strait should have carpet plus round the bottom corner because this is the fastest part of the track.
Gaz.
