i think it just bolts on like the original middle link

Lee 08-05-2009 04:49 PM

Dunc,

Just remove the original centre link and bolt the new one on, i think Preddy and McGoo run them but they will be away to the national for now. I can post a pic of one on the X5 if you need me too, im not sure how different it will be.

Lee,

Are you not at the national this weekend?

GRIFF55 08-05-2009 09:35 PM

Preddy has put a few pics of this on the losi thread somewhere. To fit mine i had to dremel a little bit off the chassis to stop it rubbing:thumbsup:

what do you guys think about shortening the brass bushing so you dont need to mess about with the chassis not sure if it will make much of a differance also has anybody tried a xxx cr rack it seams as though the centres are the same but ball end placement will be slightly further out but it does fit on tried it just coz i was wondering if it would (thats the kit car builder in me lol)

Southwell 12-05-2009 07:25 AM

Looking at the pictures if you shortened the bushing the ball cup would hit the link.

Have you tried a washer under the steering arm ball end?

I've ended up using the short neck AE ball ends on the inside and 1 washer on the outside and that seems pretty close.
cheers,

I shaved the carbon down 2mm and it works fine, because it kept hitting the chassis. And there is alot more steering in the middle and coming out of the corner. And have alot more steering and had to put a front rollbar on to even it out.
