Tire inserts - disintegrating into powder?

Changed a set of rear mini spikes to find the tires just full of a fine blue powder and the tiniest remnants of foam inserts... The foams were blue Schumacher inserts.

Is this common? Can something be done to prevent this?

Thanks,
Ty

Personal attacks are out of order.

The Schuey Green mediums are fine (newer ones are anyway) but the harder Blue compound ones are prone to doing this all the time.

If you dont run the blue for any "set up" reason then switch to the green which are far better in more ways than one it seems....
