Hampshire model shops
Hey all,
Anyone know of decent model shops in hampshire that stock 1/10th related accessories? I'm thinking shock oil, tyres, etc. Mostly I order from DMS, but every so often I need the stuff even quicker, and I can't find a decent model shop... |
Demon, but they are up near aldershot. Hobbystores are crap. I just order 99% of stuff from DMS and then have the "Royal Mail" lottery. No bonus for Mr Postie at Christmas in my neck of the woods...

There used to be one in Southampton, just down from Debenhams. Think it is still there http://www.hobbystores.co.uk/2005/FS...ectedTab=Shops
Used to be called something else and was ok then, have never used them under this name, but it's used to be quite big |

Yeah, hobbystores have proven to be utterly useless on the couple of occasions I've been in there, unfortunately :/.
Demon looks good - I might head up there on saturday so that I can get some heavier shock oil for this PDA open day, as well as some motor cleaner which DMS don't seem to post. |
Oh dear, will give them a miss then!
Apex Models is probably about the same distance. They are in Crowthorne, Berkshire. My mate lives there and it normally takes me about 50 mins from Southampton. Straight up the M3 http://www.apexmodels.co.uk/ Always been good to me, got my Hornet from them  |

Knighters is good, when the water is on and he has what you want, though he'll get it for ya. You also get a cup of tea and a sit down on the nice sofa. And if you're real lucky, Rasey'll be there to sell you something you didnt think you needed or just take the piss. Overall, and enjoyable trip.

Thanks guys :). Will take a trip up to Demon if they're open tomorrow, got a friend who lives in woking so I can meet up with him and make the trip more worthwhile.
