Newb Question

Just been having a look at the 1/8th and the last time it was out i lost drive suddenly and assumed the clutch had gone, but on inspection the inner bearing has collapsed on the bell, would this cause me to lose drive all of a sudden, or should i replace the clutch shoes and the bearing. Also is there a visual point where you can see that you need to replace the shoes or is it just when it starts to slip on track?

Cheers

if the bearing has collapsed then yes the meshing will be affected and possibly losing drive.

usually when a clutch fails,ie spring goes etc the clutch still engages..usually stalling the engine as it comes in too early.

if the spring is wearing(where it goes in the groove on the shoe and where it would touch the inside of the clutchbell) then time to replace.

Cheers Dave, I'll buy both and change the bearing first and see what happens.
