B44 wheel nuts

It's probably been asked a few times before but how do i stop the wheel nuts on a B44 coming undone during the race, obviously i need to change them for new ones regularly but i put a brand new nut on the front at EPR on sunday and even though i checked them before each race they still came undone! The car sadly handles poo with 3 wheels!

New wheel nut is a good idea, also check that the threads on the axle are clean.

When I'm putting on the front wheels on the B44 I put a 1/16" allen driver in the diff-output to stop the axle moving. This allows you to get th nut on tight without any chance of stripping the hex on the wheel. (Rather then holding the wheel as you tighten the nut.)

I used to have similar problems.

A drop of blue Loctite solves the problem.

I had the same problem. I now use Losi nuts (:woot:) and no problemo.

I brought some aftermarket ones, I believe they are fastrax ones. And they never came off. Still using them now on the back of my X-6:thumbsup:

Nuts

Get the associated silver wheel nuts no problem then

i had same problem its like the threads need to be longer,
what i did is remove the hex and use cat front and rear wheel and after months and many sets ive never had any come off, dont even thread lock them because the axle thread now goes into the nylon on the nut
