Indoor racing carpet suppliers?

Hi all, my local club seems to be having some problems locating replacement carpet for indoor racing. We had placed an oreder with a company but that has dragged on for about 3 months and there's still no sign of it arriving!

Can anyone suggest a supplier or better still a manufacturer we can try as our current carpet is getting rather threadbare!

Cheers :)

SlowOne on here should be able to help or contact Jim Spencer here. He's also in the BRCA handbook

Hi,
thanks for that. I can't get hold of Jim yet as I had to register on the site and it seems to take a while before you can post on there but I'll try him later.
Will try Slowone on her now,
Cheers

The info is in the BRCA club manual, page 86.

Racing Carpet There is only one supplier, to my knowledge, of carpet suitable for racing RC cars on in the UK Vaughans of Leicester Ltd, Aylestone Mill, Disraeli Street, Leicester, LE28LX Telephone 0116 244 0142

PrimaTrack GT comes in rolls 30m long by 2m wide and costs around £4 per square metre currently. There is an alternative, made by the same company which is PrimaDuo, PrimaDuo comes in rolls 50m long by 4m wide and costs around £0.90 per square metre currently. Vaughans do deliver and I believe the cost to be quite reasonable.

Thanks guys,
I'll try the links and see if they're a different company from the one we tried initially.
Richard :)

Hi again all,
it appears that the suggestions I've had (including the BRCA recommended one) all lead to Prima Direct which is the company that has taken nearly 3 months so far!

It was the Prima GT we were after but I guess we're stuck with waiting for them to pull their fingers out!

Thanks to those that replied,

Richard
