Hi all, Just to confirm that me n Simon will be there, weather permitting of course... whats the procedure if rain does stop play?
Anyway how about we go the opposite way round, some of us were trying it at the end last time and it was alot better..........I will try and make a new little kicker to put on a corner or sommit...how wide does it have to be?

If it rain's you get wet!!!

As for the width of a kicker, needs to be between 2.4 metres and 3.0 metres. One tip is make sure it's at least as long as the car, meaning that the front wheels don't leave the kicker before the rear wheels are on it, otherwise it's just horrible for driving over!!!

Instead of just running the track the opposite way round is it worth getting there a bit earlier , bringing some hammers and changing the layout of the track completely, to avoid some of the bumpier bits?

I am up for anything!!! (well thats what's written on the toilet wall anyway!!) but seriously I dont mind rippin up n playin about in the dirt, (also written on the wall.) we can also open up the lake, providing all the water is gone..... also how about buildin another tabletop, nothing to hard just a nice little obstacle, I will have it ready and all we will have 2 do is put it together.... I have the perfect bits of wood to form the sides and the top, may need a hand to build the up n down ramps....
still as long as it's not rainin I don't care what we do.(yep... written on the wall!!.)
C U TRACKSIDE!!

Just have to see what the weather is like, but another table top would need a different layout, unless you put it after the table top thats already on the track with a nice curved landing and take off ramp between the two!!

Must admit I think it would be worth while taking the track up cutting the grass grass and rolling / filling in some of the bumps and work on it from there.

I don't mind spending a bit of time over there on Saturday (weather dependent and with some help) to get started on some work, but short of a hammer, spade and some time I don't have anything thats much help.

I'll pop over there if the weather is reasonble!! You can meet at mine Carl if you want to save on petrol, or just pick me up. Have got a spade, hammer and hopefully some track laying skills, thats assuming no one minds me changing anything!! Would prefer to do the morning, say from 9 onwards then that gives the rest of the day to avoid the rain or just get things moving. Let me know what you think and we can take it from there.

A good day Sunday:thumbsup:

Many thanks to JCB, Trevor and Carl for there hard work changing the track around, grass cutting and re-cutting and giving us other options for layouts.....well done:)

jcb 22-04-2009 12:36 PM

Yeah I thought it was a good day and was pleased to hear lots of good comments about the track

I think there are about 20 different layouts to chose from if you include racing clockwise and anti clockwise so it should last the season without to much hassle other than grass cutting and a good roll at some point. And it only takes 5 minutes to lay a new track out and tidy away at each meeting!!!

See some of you at the regional this Sunday
