501 pistons

Hey guys,does everyone run the kit pistons? just bought a 2nd hand car and for some really peculiar reason, one of the shocks has an odd shock piston in it.:thumbdown:. Does anybody use other brands of pistons ie associated losi etc? if so which ones?
