Pillow/Pivot balls?
 

Years ago on my Lazer ZXR the car had pillow/pivot balls instead of ball studs, these came in two different sizes, one for 2.6mm screws and one for 3mm. I need two pillow/pivot balls for 3mm screws.

I have plenty of 2.6mm balls and ends for the them but none of the 3mm, i cant remember if the 3.0mm balls fit in the same ends or did they have larger ends as well? Had a look on the usual retailer sites but not much luck unless someone can specify a kit that still uses them or has some spare. Thanks!

Hi Conrad, the kyosho 2.6mm and 3mm balls have the same O.D. and fit the same rod ends (LA43's). The part number for the 3mm balls is OT32 (OT = optima part), they come up occasionally on ebay (vintage_tamiyashop for one), and are also available here: http://www.tamiyaparts.co.uk/tamiyaparts/tpx/kyosho.htm, I've ordered from them a couple of times and it's worked so far.
