is 650w powerfull enough for 2-3 to charge off ???

blitzboy 19-04-2009 08:32 PM

mine s a four stroke and its 700w should be ok mate but get four syroke not two ,

Rich D 19-04-2009 08:41 PM

Four stroke defo better as you dont have to run oil/petrol mix. i got mine cos its cheap. Yeah you could run numerous chargers off one 650W generator

this is the one i was going for on fleebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1kva-Silent-Su...3A2|240%3A1318

well worth it , same spec as a kipor too

Looks spot on Graham - certainly better than mine.

Wraggy - just looked at the manual for my BC6. It draws a maximum of 50W 240V 0.2 AMPS so in theory ( but i wouldnt recommend it ) you could run 13 chargers off a 650W genny.

When you charge at 3.2A 12v DC ( or whatever 1C is for your Lipo packs ) then its not the same as 3.2A 240v AC. Your drawing less than 40 watts from one charger charging at 3.2A

You really dont need to worry about generator output if you are only using chargers/soldering irons/dremels etc.

HTH
