Tamiya Avante Wheel Types

Are there any other wheels that will fit a re release avante. The actual wheels seem scarce and expensive

Any 12mm hex drive wheel fits. Most people used Egress wheels back in the day, and you can still use them or Turbo Optima wheels of you want to stick to 2" tyres.
Go for 2.2" wheels to run modern tyres, the Tamiya DF03 wheels are popular. JC Racing make appropriate vintage style wheels, their Tamiya and Kyosho wheels have the correct offset.
