B4 clutch on x11 possible?
 
it's possible use the padd of the spur gear of the asso b4 on the x11 clutch's???:confused:
the hole of the spur gear asso with 72 tt, have the same diameter of the hole pred?

It should be possible, but it's a shed load of work. I did it to my x10. It was a massive improvement, but a seriousl pain. You need to cut the diameter of the pad, and thin it by half.

improvement is you canget one of the b4 spurs at any hobby shop in the world.

the small B4 spurs weren't available when i did it on the X10. It was just easier to drive, and you could use the slipper as a deliberate tuning aid, which i never thought it was previously without the pad.

the pred clutch is not the best in the world...;)

oh for sure the preds slipper clutch is far from what i would like it to be i am used to pads wearing out not the spur gear getting worn out and weakened. with the current cars out there i would like to see the pred with a more conventional slipper system as well as a feature to remove the spur and slipper from the car without the removal of the rear gearbox or th entire center shaft.:thumbsup:

why should you have to cut the pad down, and thin it by half?

You have to cut it so that it will fit into the pred spur - and you have to clue the pad to the spur as well. You need to make it thinner, as otherwise the nut will not fit on the slipper shaft. Also forgot to mention that you may need to mod the chassis a little (i haven't looked closely enough at x11 to be sure), as on x10 the pad thickness pushed the spur into the chassis wall - so this needed taking away!

I like to have my slipper actually slip, a lot. So far it's been ok - I've not seen anything melted :woot: but a slipper with pads would made me feel better I think.

when i use the slipper clutch of the pred, i find powder of delrin (the spur gear) in the zone of the ball bearing, and the motor...:bored: and this is not a good work....:yawn:
