Reevsey 10-03-2009 07:30 PM

having raced him at 1/8th you would be brave to give him a rc f1 car!!

glypo 10-03-2009 07:31 PM

If the dodgy cgi, hd, production values, vodafone logo at the end etc don't give it away.... I don't know what does...

...ignoring the facts a couple of office boys have managed to find a custom made bluetooth receiver/ESC for a Kyosho Mini-Z from somewhere and the bluetooth Mclaren would be out of signal range by the time he'd driven it out of the garage.

It's still well done for the uninformed. :woot:

Neil Skull 11-03-2009 01:12 PM

That is brilliant.

I wonder how they made the Mini-Z work with blue tooth?

Tom3012 11-03-2009 01:36 PM

Sony ericsson did bring out a small bluetooth rc car a couple of years ago ;)

joking aside... my phone would go flat mid corner

Either that or he could be just pretending to control the car with the phone

chris_dono 11-03-2009 06:49 PM

Nope, it's possible to do it. There's some python software in the Nokia beta labs that uses the accelerometer hooked up to a bluetooth receiver.

It's on sourceforge as well afaik, google for "shakerracer"

Neil Skull 12-03-2009 01:38 PM

Well i have got the same phone and the same Kyosho Mini-z car here in office.

If anyone can help me get connected i would love to know how?

then its office racing here i come.

SHY 12-03-2009 02:02 PM

übercool!!!

BRS 12-03-2009 03:38 PM

Surely you'd want to get in a F1 car and actualy drive it?
