B4 Servo saver advice
 

Just looking for advice really on my B4 servo saver. Im currently running an alloy bellcrank setup with no kit servo saver. So i fitted a kimbrough ss which i found too soft and the front wheels wash out on high grip tracks.

I rung m-k racing this morning and he told me that they dont run any ss but use a metal geared servo (which i do) and just runa std servo arm?

What should i do? or is there a stiffer servo saver out there?

I always glue the standard servo saver up and run a metal gear servo with a normal associated servo horn, it's the best way. You obviouslly got a fixed alloy unit with a metal geared servo so thats fine and just run standard servo horn ;)

run it as it is no SS and metal geared servo,as mike said we glue ares up anyway,

when I ran a fixed alloy unit with a metal geared servo and std horn I let a national touring car "expert" have a go he still managed to shear the metal gear in my servo in a heavy head on into a drainpipe The fixed ally unit was thrown away soon after.

there not that many drain pipes around a race track,

Some touring car drivers ey, they just don't know how to handle a car when theres a bump in the track :eh?::lol:

this was indoors and he still owes me £5.50 for new gears

Im using a blebird bms-621mg high speed servo. Should i use a plastic servo arm or an alloy one? Idealy i suppose you could do with a "weak" point. Perhaps a glue up std servo saver will do that job?

associated plastic servo horn, so if anything is going to break it will be that, cheapest part to replace out of the lot and quickest to fix! :thumbsup:

I use the same servo and a plastic horn no problems at all. Just dont let a touring car driver near it

These t.c drivers should stick to all 4 wheels on the ground. They cant cope with jumping as well.... lol

I use the standard servo horn with the servo saver that comes with the buggy. It is good enough for the job, ok I found the B2 / B3 servo saver easier to work with but the B4 one is good enough for the job, you just need to tigthen it up enough so that it only works when you hit something hard, in my case quite often but so far havent broken a servo.
