Go here

http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes...-10804572.html

download and install this software - its spyware free and will remove the majority of problems from your pc. Once thats done, go here .....

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

Download and install the ActiveX control if you need it and then install the software and run this online anti virus scan. It will pick up anything that your installed AV/Antispyware software has missed as it checks your computer over the internet.

Do that then get back if its still a problem.

when you download and scan to delete anything it asks you to register and pay!

Rich D 08-03-2009 08:58 AM

No its free - you can upgrade to the full version with scheduled scans if you pay. This is much the same as most free AV / Antispyware software.

From the link i have posted ......

it will scan for free but when you try and delete the stuff its found it asks for payment

Rich D 08-03-2009 08:11 PM

Mine works fine and i never paid a penny ? I have had it installed a long time though so maybe something has changed ?

It says that its free to use on the link and on the developers site.

Subscription gives you scheduled scans and updates ?

The other one i use is Lavasofts Ad-Aware

still cant get rid mate  ive tried allsorts type in paypall on google and it takes me to another site, maybe best wiping the comp and installing again, or will this still be on the hard drive:thumbdown::confused:

Rich D 09-03-2009 12:39 AM

It wouldnt still be on if you started over with a clean format but you shouldnt need to do that. its a big job and you will create more problems than you solve if you arent confident in what you are doing mate.

Download and install Lavasofts Adaware

http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-Ann...-10045910.html

- restart your pc when prompted.

Just click to close the box when it asks about registering - this is 100% definitely free ( the other one is too ! )

Download all updates for it then do a complete scan - it should remove many browser hijacks.

Also, if you click ( on XP ) Start/Control panel/Add Remove programs. Check the list for software that you dont use. if you are able to, type the name of any software that you are unsure of into google and read what it is. If its iffy - someone will of already done a thread somewhere on it. Just remove anything that you dont use.
Once thats done, do a defrag ( start/all programs/accessories/system tools/disk defragmenter )

Once you have done all of the above your computer should run much smoother - it will take some time to do all this so be patient and bear with it - its a world quicker than a complete reinstall and downloading all your drivers and MS updates again !

Cheers
