Gear ratio suggestions?

Is there any thread / website that lists a bunch of final drive ratios for all sorts of types of vehicles (2wd, 4wd, touring car) and types of motors (brushless, stock brushless, brushed mod, brushed stock)???

I'm just looking for some rough numbers:thumbsup:

Off Road Buggy

Atomized B44 /LRP TC SPEC set up (2 4 2 2) /NIMH ENER-G 4600 SMC
6 Cell/ Motor Speed Passion 6.5 V2
Ratio 78/20 = 9.75

S2 Swb /LRP TC SPEC set up (1 2 2 2) / LIPO TRAKPOWER 3200 SADDLE/
Motor LRP 7.5 X12
Ratio 81/23 = 9.16

Touring Car (indoor carpet)
Tamiya TRF 416/LRP TC SPEC set up (2 5 0 0 ) NIMH ENER-G 4600 SMC 5cell/ Motor Speed Passion 6.5 V2
Ratio 78/23 = 6.70

got a little proggy that will do it jimmy, tc of road 12 etc if ur cars not on it even tells u how to add it,

Not interested in calculating ratios Carl, I'm looking for actual ratios people use for difference classes / motors. so...erm, I can create my own system for calculating final drive ratios - and suggested ratios as a guide. :lol:

suggestions on features welcome

More so in on-road I find, and stock/spec motors in particular, but even in buggies, you might be 2 or 3 pinions different for the same wind motor, depending on the kind of motor and the kind of track.

From my limited experience in 4wd buggies, I tend to start my 10-turn brushed at around 11:1 overall, 12-turn brushed at about 10:1, 19-turn brushed at about 9.5:1 (although 19s are a bit slow for 4wd).

In touring I've run 19s at anything between 5.5:1 outdoors and 7.5:1 indoors, and high-rpm 27 turns down as low as 9:1 indoors!
