waht is the best brushed system to use in a b4 as i cant afford brushless i dont want nothing to fast though

If you are buying new, there is no real difference in price between a competitive brushed modified setup and competitive brushless modified setup.
It is a bit cheaper to buy a lower spec brushed speedo and run it with a 19 turn motor, this should have nice turn of speed in a 2wd car. There are quite a few speedos suitable for 19 turn that go for less than £50. |
cheers do you think that probe one is any good 12t limit £20

If they are any good that is a great price. |
you can pick up most top of the line brushed speedos for around £40 second hand now, bargain considering they were £130ish new

I use a Keyence ZeroV Extreme and would use one in a 2WD any day. It's a 180 quid speed controller but as has been said you can get brushed things cheaper these days - mine was 70 brand new from a friend. I'll be happily using brushed motors and ESC's all year.

Still using brushed myself! Can't say that a 10 turn lacks anything compared to a brushless in 4wd, and using the hard silver brushes means you don't have to skim during a meeting.
