hpi mt2 problem

i've just got my second ever nitro and i've got problems. when i pull the pullstart the wheels try to turn and this seems to be keeping the engine from starting. what could be wrong?

if i carry on at this rate i'm done with nitro. never in 25 years in rc have i had as many problems as i've had with nitos in 6 months

You've got a problem with the clutch. You'll have to take it apart to look at it.

Stick with it. I'm new to nitro's and had trouble with mine too, nearly chucked it in the bin, but when I got it to run right I was hooked. Lecky is cool but nitro is awesome.

can you turn the wheels without any drag, sounds like your clutch may be goosed

if i try and push the car along the floor by hand, its hard to push and you can feel the compresion from the engine. i will download the manual and look at the clutch tonight.
