Now that the lipo list is out will xtreme be releasing a chassis that doesn't feature the cut outs for sub c cells?

you can write me down for one as well
Can we pay you via Paypal? |
I received mine this morning and I've fitted them today. I used some two part epoxy to stick them to the chassis which hasn't left the neatest finish but I don't think they will be falling out. I think I will need to drill through one to mount the servo for the stick conversion so having them well glued should be an advantage.
I still hope xtreme release a chassis without the holes but this will do me for now. http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...0220091197.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r...0220091199.jpg |
put me down too please mate for one bar cheers paypal money waiting too

received the carbon strap this week ... cuted it down to 6 pieces of the right length, disasembled the whole electronics in my pred to fit them in ...
to discover they are no tight er even near tight fit :( The bevel isn't right. now thinking about what to do, trying to sand them down to the right angle? that's gonna take me hours of work ... and I have to drive tomorrow. damn. |
Mine weren't a tight fit either mate, they stand proud of the chassis by a fraction of a mm, i think this is due to the carbon fibre being slightly thicker than the chassis, thats why I glued them in.
I have now drilled through one of them to mount my servo and they seem pretty well stuck in. |
sorry to hear that they havn't fit well there the same as i got in my car and my'n are a good fit
|
well, i decided it had to done as I need to re-fit the electronics to be able to drive today and to compeed on sunday + bad weather announced for sunday so...
I also closed the batteryslots on my X10 before, but did this with two-component-epoxy. This gave me a lot of sanding work, and maybe was not as nice looking as the carbon but is a much better fit, and this closed ALL unnescesary holes in the chassis. my X10: http://www.ludodg.com/RC/albums/Pred...s/img_0983.jpg So in future I guess I will choose for my own method and not the carbon solution. Anyway, So I decided to install the carbon straps ... and after this job, began on my schoolwork ... and got to bed around 04.30 am. MyGod, today is gonna be a looong day  |

I'll post a picture later on. Strange tough. I can't imaging the X11-chassis having different battery-slots as they are all made from the same mould, I should think. |
