Mike Leonard Endurance

nice to see vintage RC cars @ TRCC on Sunday.

fastest lap by before I had leave by 'The Vintage Team' was just on 1 second slower than the quickest lap by the York Team. Can't tell who did it so start claiming it if you think it's yours

Had a RC10 (pink tub & graphite version) back in 19** so between then and now the difference between new and old is only 1 second per lap. I'm going to guess both teams ran up todate motors and cells

I'll have a look @ race data and confirm soon.

Who won the event by the way?

I am told that the York team won fair and square:)

They did indeed, for all of Team Vintage who worked their behinds off to get 3rd, I think we were more happy than the team york members :)

Team Vintage were fabulous, great to watch, great to race against.

Sunday woz great fun, and well done to all involved, especially the Vintage Team for getting third with 10-20 year old cars.

A great days racing!

;)

ye, like last year York won. but this time there wasnt as bigger gap between winner and second place. it was great fun this year watching the vintage kik ass around TRCC. This year my team 5th, sounds better than it actually is, hehe (but its the taking part that counts and we had a good battle with the people we beat neway). I enjoyed every minute of it.

i really want an RC10, ive been waiting for one to come up on eBay, but recently they r in such high demand, COFF COFF york club, lol. im gunna keep looking out. although i do feel abit young to have one seen as they were built long b4 i was born.

anyway back to point, well done everyone. :)

Aye, that was us
We were the only team set up on the day randomly and it was clear we werent going to win but was great fun having a bit of a race for 5th. Sadly, lots of breaks and just not being quite as fast let us down, plus we had a stadium truck :D

Yeah it was :D

The track was ace, nice and flowing with good jumps

Stu 11-01-2007 05:37 PM

Tesside track is good, the club always lay a really nice flowing track with good raceable features.

Some of the clubs always seem to build an obstacle-course type track, Teeside don't which makes for a really enjoyable days racing.

i dont know y i didnt check the website for results :S

coz im stupid:D

Barry Williams 11-01-2007 10:56 PM

Think i am gonna apply to the makers of duck tape to see if they will sponsor me as i use loads of the stuff :D (paid for by the club fortunately)
As for the track design. the credit has to go to our Greg as 90% of it was his idea, not the first time he's designed a good track so must be teaching him well.
Many thanks to all the other guys at the club for help on sat night with the layout for the track, a bit of a shame no tourers turned up as Bill & mad Jimmy made the effort to change that track also.

There would have been 4 Trucks but 2 had family in hospital so couldn't play and I hit the pop on Sat night :D so didn't fancy get my collar felt track side.
