Hi ,

We try to run every other week also working around other meetings, to provide a meeting when theres not much on if possible,

The next meeting will be the 22nd february, it is best to contact me nearer the time or view the webpage, to confirm this.

The webpage is currently being developed although the next race date is updated regularly on the front page so as you the racers can see the important info as to when were next racing.

There is a slotcar club which is ran upstairs in the same building, so if you follow the directions to the club on the link below you will find the elec club first. or of course the slotcar if your into that ;)

http://www.greatbarrslotcar.co.uk/gr...b_location.htm

I manage both webpages as it used to be the same club until a recent split so now under seperate names.

The Electric racing is predomently touring car, although amongst our few local clubs and our sorta group of people there are a few of us purchasing 2wd buggies ( or a few of them) and we hope to make the sport bigger in the midlands. At fast tracks we try to lay a few small jumps, these are laid around the touring car track as the touring car is the more popular choice at the moment so obviously the club has to cater for the majority.

I got some one to film me doing a few laps there last time and should have a few pictures i can post up before the next meeting.

Pm if you need any more info

cheers
Matt

yes i went to the last meeting at ftrc.. was very enjoyable.. the jumps made it all worth while. you should come down roger if you get the chance. the more buggys running the better. hope buggy gets very popular in the midlands to justify bigger meetings.

there should be a few more buggy drivers turning up for the next meeting.. so should be good.

happy racing

will do.. its not to the standard of like worksop yet...but hopefully we can all get there somehow. Its not just FTRC that i race at but also Marstons, where they have a large hall that can hold such events. Just need to get more buggy racers involved to justify racing.. hope to get the momentum going.

cheers

Gonna post some pictures in a minute,
please bear in mind at the moment we are a touring car club and buggy numbers are low so we can not justify building massive table tops etc.
Its a nice relaxed club night and if all you local buggy racers out there get involved and raise the numbers im sure bigger and better things are on the horizon.

yeah lipos are aloud!!

You've seen the pics right, so you'll know were not like the worksop standard, just a small club starting off.

Run what ever tires you like. the few of us that race just run older sets of tires, to keep the costs down and make it fun and close, although theres no rules on what you can and cant do, just bit of common sense:lol:.

you a 2wd or 4wd guy?

let me know nearer the end of the week if you are defo coming or not, just tryin to get a rough idea on whos coming, because ill do the track and know whether to run more jumps maybe a lil offroad section type thing, rough stuff.

Again it all depends on how many are coming, If you are definitley coming you can book in via me, just pm me!!!

cheers,

Matt Alcock 16-02-2009 01:51 PM

You'll get plenty of run time!!!
