Good turn out since it was a Regional at the weekend.
What happened to the 2 Cats in the B final?

turbo_brick 10-02-2009 10:45 PM

You've answered your own question there both cats .

In all seriousness, Jimmi forgot his charger and Cameron went home ill I think.

Did you touch Cameron with a touring car?? Was that why he was ill?

dayxwalker 11-02-2009 08:37 AM

I really enjoyed the track last night ! The jump was trick to get over as the runup was short but it was ace when you got it right ! And it saved about a second a lap over landing on the top and away !
My B4 felt really good I am getting the nack of it and I was throwing it about a bit which was Fun ! We need a few more 2wd's as 4 was a little sparce ! Maybe if there's less than 5 we can merge with the 4wd ?

My mate enjoyed his first outing with his original vintage Cougar 2 works ! I think he got 15 years of dust off it ! I think he maybe hooked ! He just needs a charge as he was shareing mine an it didn't work so well has his bat died twice

I was surprised to see so many there only two days after the regional to be honest, i only went to try new profiles i'd loaded onto my speedos as i thought there would only be a handful there. Didnt even recharge my cells from sunday so i only really did one round with my cat, had a bit play about with the B4 tho, going to put the X6 conversion on it when i get a minute then ill use it at the club more often. Maybe we should have one week a month where we try to run our 2wd cars ?
Cameron (if thats the kid with the pink cat?) broke the servo horn on his first lap of his very first run then went home......Lucky...........
Jimmi.......

Jimmy the X6's seem to really go well indoors ! Grieg is uncatchable with his ! I am happy with my setup and wasn't making mistakes (many) and I could not see me going much faster and I still could not keep up ! They just look more stable than the b4 and losi

yeah the X6 are good to drive as my previous car is B4 and losi xxxcr which i struggle to get used to it so sold it so decided get the X6 which i bought a donor B4 and and X6 kit

X6 is the car for me personally

my son got a FT B4 as i am thinking about going to get X6 square :p

chrispattinson 11-02-2009 03:48 PM

Just to play devil's advocate - I have tried an X-6 and didnt get on with it. My B4 delivered much better results, which is why I still run a B4.

B4 won the regional at the weekend.
B4 is world champion

With the right tires and driver, all 3 of the cars mentioned and the Kyosho RB5 are capable.
Have a go with all 3, Ill let you have a night of racing with mine if you want (and if you repair any broken bits).

racdeaf 11-02-2009 04:42 PM

yes chris i understand your points
X6 clicked on me when i first race it as i took a gamble to buy it and builded it and luckily my gambled paid off with x6 but didn't for the losi cr and B4.

dayxwalker 11-02-2009 06:54 PM

For me you can just watch the x6 to see that it is less prone to oversteer and untersteer it looks more like a 4wd ! Thing is it's so expensive !

Mike Hudson 11-02-2009 07:09 PM

they can suffer from random understeer sometimes though as i've found and they don't seem to be as fun to drive as a rear motor car in my opinion and run one myself! They are easier to get round the track consistantly lap after lap though I think.

dayxwalker 11-02-2009 07:33 PM

It's funny cos I was thinking the same thing ! I enjoy throwing my b4 about and I am starting to get used to it now ! I think that you can learn to drive better when the car is a little unstable !
I think we need a 2wd night to sort this out ! LOL
