Raising Knuckle Arm 22-4 Question

Hi all

I see on a lot of setups the knuckle is raised by 2mm. Is this done by shaving 2mm off the bottom of the caster block? Also am I right In thinking people flatten the camber link on the caster block?

Cheers
Dave

Its done by taking 2mm from the bottom of the steering knuckle. You can do it with the plastic ones but I have snapped one so have done the same trick with the alloy knuckles. It can be done with a dremel and a steady hand.

Yes, flattening the camber mount position on the caster block is also commonly done.

Thanks for confirming. Look here though http://site.petitrc.com/setup/losi/s.../224_TechTips/
Looks to me like they are shaving 2mm off the bottom of the caster block to achieve the same affect?

Just seen this which details the operation but removing material from the caster block, as per your earlier link.

Interesting about the shock changes too, cheers

Also take a look on that site for flattening/removing tweak from the rear shock tower. It's a pretty good resource and well maintained
