New XB4-driver, need advice
 

Hello all.
Back into rc-racing after a very long pause (Dex410 and Darc)
I ordered an xB4 '17-edition and plan on building it asap.
Racing will be mostly on astro.

Could you guys please give some advice on needed spare parts?
As I have never builed/bought an Xray before, I don't know what parts will be provided: is there just one set of springs? pistons, swaybars,...?

Which parts should I get as spares and as tuning-options?

It's a very strong car, but the usual can break at very hard impacts.
I actually carry v.little in terms of spares, and have only broken 1 front arm in a head on with another car that nearly totalled it...
It depends on parts availability where you are if it's actually worth carrying anything.
2 pairs of springs are included in the kit, normal 3 and 2 dot, and short 3 and 2 dot.
Normal ones are pretty much bang on for outdoor Astro.
The kit also includes blank pistons should you wish to drill your own, but most stick with the kit 2x1.6 and 2x1.7.
Options wise there is plenty, but none actually needed desperately.
For Astro I'd get a set of 1.6 and 1.8mm arbs, and if feeling flush, the alloy steering plate and small carbon steering brace to replace the stock one.
I personally also really like the centre diff, but most on astro choose to run the kit slipper.
Run it and see what you think. It's a cracking car out of the box...

A new question.

When driving onroad-cars, years ago, i always preferred the front one-way over the normal ball-diff. I know i could be faster when using a rigid shaft (spool) in the front when driving higher motors but i always prefered the feel of the smooth cornering with the one-way. I drove more fluently and made less mistakes.

Is there a way of tuning the diffs in the xb4 to get a similar feeling, driving?
Mind you, I have the stock XB4 '17 so no centre diff.

There is no way I know of to get a one way clicker setup in the XB4. TLR 22-4 has this option but for me it doesn't make sense for a buggy because buggys can be driven and often are driven agressively you need all the brakes you can get, esp. on high grip. This is of course unlike onroad.
