i just got a losi 4.5 t brushless motor systum an ive put in my car but its not as fast i thort it would be ive changed the pinen to a 17t one but still not as fast any help do ineed to do some other stuff ??

i would have thought you would need a bigger one

bigger what the motors like the fastest one thay do ?? do u mean the pieun ???

I would have thought you should be using around a 15T pinion on that bad boy.

I run a 20T on a 12x2 brushed motor...so a 4.5 is well faster (like a 7 turn) so try a smaller pinion. Watch out for the motor / speedo getting too hot though.

the gearing on the rtr uses a very big pinion, 24tooth with something like a 76tooth spur i think. as standard so my guess is you are well down with a 17 tooth pinion.

got a 17t pienun an a better battry good its fast now but sadly this morning i crashed it an broke the front wish bone an part of the front bulkhead set ..........:cry: orded some new ones of ebay so waitin for them to come.......

17T or 18T pinion should be fine as i run a sp with a 5.5 on a 20T and this is perfect for the car. speedo comes off cool and the motor warm.
