Strong wing?
 

I am looking to buy a few wings as when I go racing I seem to go through them at a rate of one per outing. I have only been racing for a few months and after the day the wing is often cracked and twisted. Crashing often!

Any recommendations on new wings to buy?

LMR Avior or Electra wings.

Also Yokomo heavy duty "good luck" wings.

Rude bits r1.

I buy the multipack. To save money. :blush:

Sworks wing off there 1/10 buggy. The last wing you will probably buy, super strong and flexible, had one over 2 years, and cannot destroy it...

I found proline and JConcepts wings are the best for beginners as the strong wings split with things like wing 1st bad landings off jumps etc. The Proline/JConcepts wings have plenty of flex but still rigid enough not to flap about at speed, LMRs etc are better as things calm down a bit:D

some of the cheeper wings do flex but also tear easily the old TLR 22 wings never lasted long

+1 for the rude bits wings, very tough indeed even if they are a tad heavy

+1 for the s-works ones.....mine have been hammered and the only thing that seems to harm it is the tires rubbing them away when cornering and that's minimal

Interesting thread, also looking for new wing as my prs1 wing hasnt lasted long at all, who sells the sworks ones?

Has anyone tried the Rudebits wings on the PRS1V2? any issues with wheel rub as the original wing flares up to miss the wheel at full stroke

I use the new nu concept wings i have been using the same wing for the 4 months with no problems

FWIW it might be beneficial to sand the edge of the wing to get rid of any notches or burrs. Stops it snagging quite so hard on the carpet/astro and *may* extend the life of the wing *slightly*.

No issues on either the rtr or kit s1's using the rudebits wings

Got a pair of R2 wings from rudebits, a lot stronger and thicker material than original wing, see how it goes

Hi. I have used various wings over the years and the toughest so far that i found are the proline trifecta, it's difficult to cut out as it is so strong but they are worth it, they are not cheap but will last a long time.
Make sure when cutting wings that you sand down the edges to avoid splitting .
another tip is to leave the plastic coating on the wing ,this will give extra protection,this means of course that you can't paint it,but most racers don't bother these days. And of course the less you crash the less wings you break ,that will come with time,hope this helps

LMR wings have been great for me, as have the heavy duty Yokomo ones. Techra wings are also pretty tough from what I heard from several pit mates, but I have yet to give them a try.
Wing preparation can make a huge difference. I always use a body reamer to round off the transition between the gurney and the wing sides before I cut a wing. Other than that, I found it helpful to use a leather punch for the screw holes to ensure they are not too large and perfectly round.

I'd go for the JConcepts one's plus you get two in a packet.

Recently bought a couple of rudebits R2 wings as I preferred the fit. Impressed with the quality and uniform material thickness.

Too early to see how long they'll last though
