My attempt at a 97...not quite finished but couldn't resist posting anyway! Its taken 4 years to get to this after seeing a 2 page spread in the Oct 97 issue of radio race car (photo attached). Enjoy.....

Gorgeous, lovely Yokomo Tim :)

Thanks for all the positive comments

She's all new from the bottom up and as stated there's a few bits to finish, new diffs and out drives are here and just need building and installing and I need to find a set of new front driveshafts.

All that's left then is to decide whether to paint the body or not.............

Lovely car Tim :wub

Stunning.... & very rare! I love the look of the 97' with its high towers & MX4 wheels... arguably probably a better car than the MX-4 too?

and that is the dilemma!! I could buy a repro body to paint and keep the original clear...or just get one half painted and leave one half clear :woot:

GRIFF55 18-01-2017 09:28 AM

one half awesome paintjob, one half clear would be amazing!! go for it (repro shell)

Quick update....chassis posts weren't in the best condition and I wasn't happy with them so a friend who's a machinist made me some replacements, while he was at it I also got him to machine some battery posts too! much happier with how she looks now... thanks for the great work Kevin Fenrich (RSFruitbat)

How do you mount the mx4 wheels on the works type axles?

timmy 21-04-2018 08:50 PM

These wheel hubs are what you need
