Pred x10 help
I have a pred x10 and it has 3 red shock pistons and one sliver does anyone know did they come as a extra or has someone just had them dipped?
|
I think you mean the damper shaft or the alloy outer damper parts ? If it were the damper piston it would be internal and white or black plastic...
If the alloy damper parts are red they will be from the earlier xk5 or xk98/etq models, or possibly from the touring models - some of the base model tourers had red anodised damper shafts for example. Simply put, if you have anything ally on any later or earlier Predator that's red anodised, it will be from a early tourer model or the xk5, xk98 or ETQ buggies. If it's a red motor mount, either from those models or a later XRS. Show me a picture and I can probably tell you what part is from what car. |

Here you go I have replaced them with another set a friend of mine had as the odd sliver one was making my eye twitch |
A real 'bitsa' of a damper that !
An earlier dark blue '95 Pro/International/DTM' damper body and cap with a red base-model Touring/Streetwise damper shaft. Its not really a problem as you can interchange most damper parts from the earliest models with up to the XRS/X10 and first version of the X11, just looks a bit naff lol... Both the mk1 and mk2 X10's should be silver/grey anodizing on everything, bar the shock shafts which should be gold ( titanium nitride ) . |
Ok now I thought I was sad with the Lazer but Matt your a Wikipedia of knowledge for this car.
