Get some lime green fronts #75 and silver rears #70 along with the ones you have that should be all you will need. :)

How do these compare (rate wise) to other springs? Losi, Ass, Schumi etc?

RogerM 28-01-2009 10:54 PM

Search for a spring chart I did in this section .... I measured them using a very precise spring tester at work along with Losi, AE and Yokomo springs ...... Also look on petit rc as Arno used the data on his table .... has more info based on manufactures stated rates.

Sorry, not got a link to hand and you can no doubt search better than my tired mind!!

Gents, here you will find what you are looking for: http://www.oople.com/forums/showthre...t=spring+chart

I would say that it depends on what surface you're going to race on. Yes the springs above will be fine outdoors or on medium to high grip tracks, but I am not so sure about low grip. I'm going to start running much softer springs now indoors and see what I come up with.

RogerM 29-01-2009 12:41 PM

I started with the car softer (light yellows all round) and the car wasn't nice to drive like that at all.

I found running it stiffer really brings the car alive .... and the shocks are so good that you don't loose out over the bumps either! The silvers (#70) are not too different in terms of wheel rates from what we commonly see on other manufactures set-ups!

I NEVER use the inside holes on the wishbones, ever, either ....

I may have missed a trick but those are my findings after a year with the car!

Fabs 29-01-2009 01:45 PM

Yes I know you say that but on the other hand I've been told by the guys in the US that I'm running the car too stiff.

RogerM 29-01-2009 05:34 PM

It would probably be too stiff for dirt .... but for high grip astro and grass, not so sure!

I'll be interested to see what your findings are, post up a set-up your happy with and I'll give it a try too against the stopwatch at a track near me. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, if so fair play!!!

Everyday is a school day and all that ;)

Fabs 29-01-2009 07:15 PM

i don't run on astro or grass right now I run on tartan and slippy floor that's why i'm saying I might need softer springs than you...
