tamiya rattle cans,good or bad?
im useless at painting but ive got a couple of new rallycross shells to spray with rattle cans,i only have the tamiya ones, are they any good or are there better ones out there?
last shell i sprayed with the tamiya rattlers the paint was just flaking off, mind you i didnt scuff the lexan surface, maybe that will cure it? dave |
Yep, should do.
I've painted shells for people that they have scuffed first and they've asked for tamiya colours. And the paint is still on years later after many heavy crashes. |
Cleaning (degrease is reason) and scuffing shell is needed. Then Tamiya works fine. I used it for many years.

yep never had a problem with tamiya rattle cans

I don't even bother to scuff with the Tamiya cans, obviously a good wash and dry beforehand, personally I think they are the best cans I have ever used, never had any paint flake off.
As with all paints - if it smells bad - it works! |
Tamiyas prob the best in rattle cans...
|
Be sure to use the PS kind (made for lexan).
