cleaning
Hi !
What do people use for cleaning old cars ? To make them look tip top |
WD40 bings back the original colour on old Plastic parts.
|
The best thing I've found is to stick the plastic parts in a dishwasher (using the same soap as for the dishes)... Look like new!! This worked a treat on my Kyosho Rocky.
|
I just soak all the greasy stuff in hot water with washing up liquid and give it a good scrub with a toothbrush
|
Wash in fairly liquid and clean with a tooth brush, once dried gt85 (smells better than WD and the silicon in it gives a good shine) or you can spray silicone spray on the plastics

Believe it or not detol wet wipes, the chemicals in those remove rubber and paints off wheels, bodyshells and wings, also works well on flat chassis bits but you can never go wrong with GT85 and a scouring pad for ujs and metal bits and a toothbrush, fairy liquid and warm water for plastics. If scuffed and doing a restore only for a shelfer and plastics black a permanent black marker.

Retro I went talking about can cleaning metal/plastic parts defiantly not a good idea silicone on tyres!!
