Lipo won't charge past 8.05v?? Diagnosis?

Is it dead? Or dying?
The charger seems fine, as it charges other batteries fine...
I'd there anything I can try? Or is it terminal?

You balancing?
Might be one cell blown. Might be massively out of balance. What are the voltages of each cell. What's the resistance of each one.

Not enough information to tell.

Thanks.
cell 1: 3.83v and 9mohm
cell 2: 4.21v and 3mohm

Looks like cell one has possibly blown. Try charging it on its own (easy if it's a saddle).

See if the charger is still putting stuff in or not.......

Might just be charging cell 1 really really slowly as it's doing most of the work through the balance cable......

Do not do this this is stupid

Nah. Not stupid at all.
Just well well into the realms of "expert in electronics".

Lots of chances to get it explosively wrong as well.

Agreed

I've done it, its works and is perfectly safe

DON'T attempt this unless you FULLY understand what going on and what you are doing.

If you do make the lead in the video I'd highly recommend insulting the solder joints with heat shrink or similar.

Not at all. Charging ezch Cell with charger on 1S setting is a perfectly fine way to ensure a good balance charge on an imbalanced pack. I made up an adaptor lead to convert the 4mm bullet to the 2mm pin.
