Is an MR-4 BC 2003 special worth to keep?

Hello vintage comunity,

I've got a rarly used one, with all the electric component from 2003 sitting at the shelf and may want to give it away, or do you think, it is worth to keep this buggy?
Got four yokomo t-max brushed motors, three of them are still new in box, a ko propo vfs 2000 professional speedo, incl. all original manuals and box, a complete futaba wheel transmitter/receiver and servos for it, too.

What do you think, it's worth, if i decide to sell it?

If you would like, i can post some pictures of it?

Thanks in advance
Mike

No real vintage value yet as they are too new to run in most vintage series also they a re derived from the touring car and didn't really take off with offroad racer's
This started yokomo's dark days in offroad offroad went quiet for a few years apart at top level but now is enjoying a strong resurgence there have been couple mr4-bc on eBay recently at silly money and remained unsold
Spares are not common so once broken that's it in afraid

Hi!

I in my opinion the mr4 bc special is a nice buggy, I have a couple with tons of spares.
Keeping or not depends on you. But this one doesn`t have a $$ value like its predecesors, the mx4 and specially the yz10. So people won`t pay you much for it.
Those T max motors are cool, 23 turns?

Post some pics, is always good to see yokomos !

Thanks for your infos!

I do like it quit too, always wanted a MX-4, but could not get my hands on one, back in the days, so got the MR-4 second hand, but did not drove it that much, as the previus owner did not eather...:)
He did import the hole package from japan, still have the bill from customs clearence from 9/2003, the sumary was 93.640,00 yen!

Yes, three of them are 23T, one is an S-Pro 11T2W.

Will post some pictures tomorrow.

May, when i have the chance to get an MX-4 to an resonable price, i will sell it, till than, i'll keep it!?

Have a nice evening and greetings
Mike

as promised, here are some pics from the stuff!
To my sorry, there where no spares comming with the car, except some extra spur gears!

suparajicon 25-10-2016 05:18 PM

all that is a bunch of nice stuff! 93.000 yen is a good amount of money..
If you decided to sell it probably you would not get what that car is worth..specially the electronics. That motor class, 23 turn, was only used only in Japan, not in Europe, neither in the US.
Do you have a body?
Which rims are you using?

micholix 25-10-2016 05:39 PM

For sure, that was an realy good amount of money, he payed arround € 860.- for the stuff and € 170.- for fat at customs clearence....:o

Thanks for that info about the motors too, i did not know that, as i was not driving races back in the days!

Yes, i do have the standard red body for it.
Will put the original buggy rims/tires on it.
