Re-release RC10 parts compatibility with the original RC10

Possible a stupid question but ,How many parts from a re-release RC10 can be fitted to the original RC10 , I'm talking about compatible parts that are identical to the original ?

Also can someone list what the differences are please

i think the only changes were in steering parts and gearbox, might be wrong though

I know the spur gear is a different pitch on the re release, the internal gears I'm not sure if interchangeable, but the case is the same, so a complete re re gearbox would fit in an original car.
Everything else is the same as an 85 car except for slight changes that were made just so that the real RC10 nerds would be able to tell the difference between original and re re versions (L and R on steering parts for example), but the differences are so slight that you won't notice, and they will fit on an old car

Thanks chaps ,that's good too know as I've bought an Original RC10 :woot: it's a little rough and needs TLC but it's good to know I can use re release parts if I can't find serviceable original parts ;)

Just be careful if you need to change any gearbox internals as the gearboxes are not the same inside.
The original car has the centre idler bearings in the gearbox case but the rere has those bearings in the actual gear.
The good news is that parts for both the original box and the rere are all still available.
