wiring out balance boards...

On a quad lipo charger, there's quite a lot of bulk and clutter having 4 balance boards hanging out the side... so i was wondering...

Is there any reason that I couldn't/shouldn't dispense with the balance board?

Since I only ever charge 2s lipos, could i just connect the first three wires of the cable that runs from the charger to the balance board directly to the three wires (in the right order of course) that would normally run between the board and the battery?

Looking at the conductor tracks on the bottom of the balance boards that I have, it looks like it should be that simple...

Any reason not to do it?

Have a look at these.... (available from Moss Models in both 4mm and 5mm versions)

They might be what you're after or give you some ideas

Corally

Yep I use the all in one corally 2s charge cables, so much neater and less clutter. Works perfectly skipping the balance board and plugging straight into the charger
