I presume "yes" as Neil Cragg, amongst others, was using one on the same carpet at EOS..!

EOS is an event on a different scale. Shock tower protection isn't required, but the carpet does get the odd tear. MB Models has invested a significant ammount of money to bring the EOS carpet to its venue for Batley buggy club to run. Mandatory shock tower protection is specified to ensure the longevity of the carpet.
Each car will be assessed before it runs on the track. if the wing offers what's deemed as adequate protection then it will be allowed to run, if not then tower protection must be put on.
We will also look for loose screws on chassis bottoms.
A good tip is to reverse the shock top mount screws so the button head is forward, and the nut and screw end is at rear of tower.
