K2 thoughts
Hi looking at getting a K2 and wanted a see what it is like compared to the current batch of other makes.
|
Personally i think its the best car i have driven, from bj4-we, durango, sx3 and k1 plus its british!
|
Best 4wd buggy I've ever driven, easy to set up and very easy to work on
|
I didn't like mine at all. Switched to am xb4 which handles much better.

I really like my K2. A massive improvement over the K1 Aero. I find the car is easy to set up and generally very easy to drive. The only issue I have had is with the captive ball joints. It seems that with a very light crash the turnbuckle and be pushed into the moulding damaging the threads. Also the rear ones have a slight interference with the wheels. I replaced all of mine with standard Schumacher ball grippers.

Has anyone had any problems with the layshaft, I'm sure mines got a tiny wobble on it.
Either replace the ball grippers or keep the original ones and replace the turnbuckles, I got 3.5mm Lundsford ones. |
If you go to schumachers website and buy the captive ball joints you will now be sent new reworked products that now grips the turnbuckles and stops the problem 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 But only direct from racing-cars.com as model shops may have older stock

Will be the layshaft bearings mate, they seem to collapse quickly, happened a few times to me and also to john |
Yeah i will strip it and check them probably get some better replacements and swap them out anyway.

Brought a car from RC Octane, very well pleased with the car straight out of the box, brought the pro front roll bar set and the standard rear set.
For a 4wd car this has no signs of grip roll jumps well and is a very good car, narrow belts as standard and some very innovative designs. |
