Anodising

Hello people, im just weighing up the costs and stuff about starting up an anodising business type thing.

My Question...

Who would be interested in getting stuff anodised at good competitive prices?? The anodising would be of a high quality!! Most colours would be available aswell :D

I've always actually been interested in what this sorta stuff costs. I think you would have a reasonable market there for stuff. Would you be fit to re-anodise stuff to different colours?

ben 19-01-2009 09:17 PM

As far as i know, i CAN re-anodise stuff with this kit :eh?::D

I think you use a process to remove the anodic coating, and prep the surface to accept the new colour and anodic process

ben 19-01-2009 10:10 PM

You got it steve! you put the parts in some shiz to take the anodise off, then you have to prep the metal before it get's anodised :eh?:

Chris Green 19-01-2009 10:14 PM

Cillit-Bang removes anodising as far as I know. It depends on the type of anodising used though.

jimmy 19-01-2009 10:16 PM

not sure what cillit bang is, but I guess the active ingredient is caustic soda? I've used it to remove anodising before - nasty stuff tho. Not sure it's the best thing for the alloy tho.

blitzboy 19-01-2009 10:18 PM

thats it sillit bang and perenent marker pens well easy hahahahaahaha ,

seroiusly good idea ben count me in mate can you do gold ,,, or yellow

telboy 19-01-2009 10:23 PM

I'd have to change my colours again if I had min re-annodised.
Not sure if Yellow would look too good.

I suppose I could have green like Leon!
