Advice on a really neat set of connectors for detachable motor wires
Hi all,
I want to be able to swap around my motors without the palava of having to solder each time :-s I know it is not quite as efficient but I want to have my motors on really neat pluggable cables, so effectively I can take the motor out and a small section of cabling with it, unplugging it from the ESC and plugging in the replacement motor's wires. Any advice? Cheers Adrian |

Hobbyking do a whole host of stuff that would work:

I always use 3.5mm gold bullet connectors, like the Dynamite DYNC0043 ones fron Modelsport.....or any model shop or EBay.

Thanks for the advice everyone

Top tip. Get a stack of suitably sized heat shrink tube. And cover each joint in it. Completely. No gaps.
Not only does it stop the connectors shorting out against each other, it stops them pulling apart during any big shunts or crashes. 2 seconds with a scalpel and you can break the connection. Then put some more heat shrink on. |
