Mini Pins are a very aggressive tyre to use on carpet. Before they switched to the Cut Stagger in 4wd at the EOS, some drivers were only running two or three rows of pins in the centre of the tyre. Gluing the sidewalls also helps a lot in preventing grip roll.

almost like "Velcro" removing the pins will help reduce unwanted excess grip

On the rears of a 2wd buggy how many rows would need to be ground off?
Inside or outside of the tyre?

Depends how much grip you need to take away?

Don't grind them, use nail clippers. Much cleaner.
