wheels not round??

Here's a daft one for you... i've recently removed a pile of old tyres from the rims, and i've noticed that the rims are not very round. I guess it's particularly noticeable when I mounted bare rims on an axle and gave them a spin.

Has anyone else noticed this? Should they sort themselves out when they get tyres on and a bit of load on them?

Thanks.

I've had this with some Ansmann/Team C wheels which have been acetone'd a few times. Kyosho wheels so far have stayed true after similar treatment. The oval ones get binned tbh.

I think that if the plastic has warped, they probably will not reform with use. Maybe heat would help, but I'd be tempted to replace if they are significantly out of true

pop em on a radiator (or in hot water) and then roll them round again.

I'd be binning every rim i had if i didn't do that.

Can do it by hand if you've got a good enough eye.

Thanks chaps.
I've got some which are not make with a brand (presume team c) which are noticeably worse than the jconcepts and Schumacher which seem pretty good to be fair.
Thanks all for taking the time to reply.
