GT 12 Schumacher atom legal?

Are the Schumacer atom and Mardave GT12 BRCA legal as they are over the £99.95 price limit as per the rules

Yes, schumacher has a basic version called atom sport for 99.95.
It is a trick, yep, but it is true that this means that car is legal.

I thought the same thing

They are legal as the cars are the Schumacher Atom Sport and the Mardave Assassin GTE, both available for £99.50 and both eligible for the Production Cup class that very few people run.

They sell various option parts that are allowed to be fitted to upgrade the cars for the Super Cup class that most people race in, which made the car quite expensive when you bought all the option parts such as the differential, ballraced wheels, side dampers, etc. So the manufacturers produce a version of their car with all the option parts included so their customers can save money.

The production cup class was dropped two years ago due to lack of interest.

There is now one class, and a choice of 13.5 or 17.5 motors

All four manufacturers of gt12 make a kit under the limit and offer a optioned up version

thanks for the info, so to make this clear

Does this mean that if I bought a Schumacer Atom Pro at around £165 I can race it in the GT12 class?

terry.sc 06-04-2016 07:40 PM

Yes, because the basic car is within the price limit and the Pro version is technically just a Sport version with various hopups added in the box.
