CAT vintage racer.
For a while now I have also been keeping some parts aside for this build. There is a real mix of parts from both the CAT XLS, PROCAT and even BOSSCAT.
The idea was to build up a car which will handle plenty of vintage racing with little pit time being spent on maintenance along the way. I started with an XLS fibreglass saddle pack chassis which locates the cells closer in to the cars centre line. From what I know this should help aid with some cornering characteristics. For the most part all the plastic moldings are PROCAT while i have employed BOSSCAT lower rear inner pivot blocks for extra reliability. Up front I have an alloy gearbox housing, alloy 'super hex' diff hubs while at the rear I have fitted a 23mm 'PRO' diff with ceramic diff balls all round. A BOSSCAT slipper and layshaft should help tame some of the power from my regular 12turn favourite motor. A performance belt kit also should keep things running smooth. I managed to find an MMS alloy rear shock tower with built in wing mounts too. I have a set of alloy Schumacher to Yokomo wheel hub adapters to mount the 2.2inch black Yoke rims. Cant wait to get this car down to the race track-:D http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...TXLSracer1.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...TXLSracer2.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...TXLSracer3.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...TXLSracer4.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...TXLSracer5.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ATXLSracer.jpg |

Hey Jason, I got some Yoke adaptors
Do you have any tips for fitting them to my Procat? http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/IMG_0699.jpg http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...l/IMG_0702.jpg |
